Get The Smoothies Recipes That Kate Hudson Swears By To Start Her Day Right (2024)

In 2003, Kate Hudson gave us the iconic rom-com How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, and 19 years later she’s giving us how to achieve wellness in 10 ways. That’s right, the fitness enthusiast has partnered with Bluestone Lane for her latest endeavor: creating a plant-based menu featuring three smoothies from her wellness brand InBloom.

InBloom’s mission is to offer a holistic approach to nutrition that focuses on how we treat our bodies and what we eat to sustain them. We sat down with co-founder Hudson to talk about her wellness lifestyle and learn about the smoothies that you can make out of the comfort of your own kitchens.

Hudson has nailed her morning routine—something we can all aspire to. Now her a.m. also includes a blend of essential vitamins and nutrients found in the powders and clean green proteins from her wellness brand.

“My morning is simple. I wake up, I move my body a bit. I have warm water and black coffee. Then I work out and then I’ll do a heavy protein smoothie with all this in it. I don’t like pills, personally. So when I get a handful of pills to take three times a day, I feel really overwhelmed…You can throw these [powders] in a smoothie where you’ll be more likely to do that than take a daily vitamin,” she tells Women’s Health.

So what’s in these smoothies, you ask, and how can you make 'em for yourself? Well, you’re in for three different treats.

1. The Berry Brekkie Smoothie

This tastes like paradise in your mouth.

    Ingredients:

    Available add-on boosters:

Directions: Put ice in a jug blender and add oat milk, strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries, mint, banana, honey, and lemon juice. Top it off with the protein powders. Then blend for about 20 to 30 seconds. Serve in a 20 oz ice cup.

    2. The Keen Green Smoothie

If berries are not your thing and you prefer greens, Hudson has you covered. Her “Keen Green” smoothie will give you the energy you need to kickstart your early morning workouts.

    Ingredients:

    Available add-on boosters:

Directions: Put ice in a jug blender and pour in some almond milk. Layer on some spinach, almond butter, banana, and honey, then add the protein powders. Blend for about 20 to 30 seconds. Serve in a 20 oz ice cup.

    3. Protein Peanut Butter And Blueberry Smoothie

Personally, I love everything peanut butter, so chances are I would opt for Hudson’s protein peanut butter and blueberry smoothie.

    Ingredients:

    Available add-on boosters:

Directions: Put ice and banana in a jug blender. Add the almond milk, followed by blueberries and peanut butter. Then add the protein powder. Blend well. Serve in a 20 oz ice cup.

Hudson swears by these smoothies, which have also changed the way she thinks. “There’s so much these smoothies have done for me. The best one is Brain Flow. You can actually feel your brain wake up. Before I do anything in the afternoon, I’ll just shake up a Brain Flow smoothie and it’s honestly amazing.”

Now it’s your turn to try one. Let us know which one you love most!
