Fri May 10, 2024: Joss and Dex jog around the park, Sam tells Dante she wants to help Jason, and Sonny asks Natalia to the wedding.
Thursday’s GH recap: Sam learned Jason is working for the FBI, Sonny and Ava fought about Connie, and Jordan urged Laura to drop Heather’s case.
In the penthouse, Ava grabs Sonny’s meds and starts scratching away at the label.
Ava takes the pills to a pharmacist, claiming it needs a refill and asking for information about the medication.
He explains it was recently approved and safe.
She asks what would happen if it was taken at less than the prescribed dosage.
Could that make him violent?
The pharmacist says it’s beyond his scope to answer that.
Generally people don’t become axe-murderers overnight. Has she noticed changes in behavior? If she has, she should speak to his doctor.
She thanks him and takes off, smirking to herself.
At the Metro Court, Sonny asks Natalia not to run off.
Laughing, she says no one should dine alone.
They talk about how busy they are and she asks who had the audacity to stand him up.
He explains Ava stormed off.
She missed out but he didn’t. Natalia tells him how wonderful this was.
He makes it clear that he and Ava are not together. She knows how hard a relationship ending is.
They muse on life being a winding road and she hopes things calm down for him.
He suggests they finish their coffee slowly so Ava can pack and get out of his place.
She suggests he go home and resolve things but he dismisses it as just a stupid argument about the wedding.
She’s sure it is terrible to feel excluded and mentions how tight-knit things are in Port Charles.
When she mentions BLQ’s wedding, he asks her to be his date.
That surprises her but he says they can be the mom and dad posse to their children.
This means she needs to rush to get ready.
She thanks him for everything and takes off.
Sonny gets home exhausted and Ava apologizes for making a big deal about a social event.
She usually has a thick skin but really cares about their relationship.
That’s why, for Avery’s sake, she thinks it’s time to move out.
She values their friendship and doesn’t want their daughter to see them fight.
He asks if this is really what she wants.
She says the threat is wrong and she feels like she’s overstayed her welcome.
Annoyed, Sonny says he never said that. He likes having Avery there and likes company.
But if she wants to get a place, he’ll help her but he likes the way things are.
She wants to stay. She admits she’s become a bit of recluse since Nikolas.
He suggests she get out more and have fun.
Ava offers him a ride to and from the wedding and reception but he insists on driving himself.
He adds that Blaze’s mother is coming as his plus one.
She forces a smile and tells him it was generous to include her.
Once he walks away, she grimaces.

In her office, Anna flashes back to arguing with Jagger about her role in Pikeman.
Dex shows up and she asks how his training is going.
Bennett is impressed.
Dex thanks her for urging her to do this and tells her how proud he is of the people he’s in the academy with.
Chase is helping the other officers accept him too.
She asks if he’s interacted with Dante.
He explains that he has avoided him to stop people from thinking they are working together for Sonny.
Anna asks if he has any suspicions that Dante would act on his father’s behalf.
He doesn’t think so. Not consciously.
But he knows they are close and trust each other.
Maybe the cop sees what he wants to.
Anna thanks him and he exits. She gets a call and leaves.
Dante meets with Sam in the park and she tells him Jason is an FBI informant.
He’s been working undercover for Cates.
The cop realizes that his father already told him this in the hospital.
He forgot about it.
If Jason is working for Sonny, he would see it as a betrayal.
He admits he doesn’t trust Jagger but all of these hits on mob bosses is much bigger than his father.
They are clearly more than mob hits.
As they ponder what this is, she tells him she believes Jason when he claims he stayed away because he was coerced.
She wants to help him. Danny can’t lose his father again.
She explains how angry she was when Jason came back.
She’d lost all faith in him and wants to make amends.
The cop agrees that Danny needs his father and he wants to help him too.
But he feels like this is more than an undercover operation.
She says they need to find out what the Feds have on him.
He understands she wants to help but thinks she should stay out of it because it is delicate and there’s nothing she can do. She won’t accept that.
As she jogs across the park, Joss runs into Dex and challenges him to race.
He chases after her.
After he beats her, she asks for another run.
They chat about how things are going at the academy.
He says if you stick with things, they get better.
They chat about school and her job as a lifeguard at the Metro Court.
She explains she’s changed her major to environmental science.
He has no doubt she could save the planet if she set her mind to it.
She thanks him for that and he tells her it was really good to see her.
At the coffee warehouse, Jagger drops in to see Jason about why Carly has been visiting Brennan in Pentonville.
This is all news to Jason. He didn’t tell her anything.
Jagger tells him that Brennan and Carly seem to know each other and he was arrested at her place.
She must be useful to him somehow.
It’s in their best interests to find out how.
Jagger walks out.
He calls Anna over and asks her about Brennan’s arrest.
She confirms Carly was there.
Anna is shocked that Carly went to see Jack.
They thought he was going to kidnap her.
Jason assumes she went to see him because she thinks she’s helping.
She likely eavesdropped on his conversation with Cates.
Anna realizes that Carly may have inadvertently given Jack information that will make their jobs harder.
She assumes that Brennan knows they are on his trail and that’s a big problem.
Shrugging, she admits that behind his charm, he’s very shrewd and dangerous.
He’ll find a target and act and teh FBI wont’ know what hit them.
They need to find out what Carly told Brennan.
“I can’t be the one to do it,” Jason says.
Carly will realize something is up and it will get worse.
Anna decides to talk to her herself.
