Thurs June 20, 2024: Carly warns Jason that Drew is running for congress, Dex turns to Joss for help, and Mac gets an update about the PCPD.
Wednesday’s GH recap: Mac got a heartwarming reunion, Alexis celebrated, and Tracy urged Cody to come clean with his father.
Carly stops by the warehouse and tells Jason he may want to check in with Drew because what he is doing will impact him.
She worries there is distance between the brothers because of her.
Eventually, she breaks the news that his brother is running for congress. Jason is sure he will be good at it.
He doesn’t see why this is a problem for him. She points out there will be a lot of public scrutiny and journalists will dig up dirt.
Can he afford that kind of attention? People could be hurt in this. Jason says he’s been through worse.
He says they need to let Drew have his own life. She reminds him that he’s lost two years of his life.
What was so important that it was worth losing all that time?
He tells her that he will take his life back once his job is finished.
She hopes the campaign doesn’t get in the way and will do all she can to defend him.
Throwing her arms around him, she says she’s glad he agrees. Once she leaves, he checks his phone.
At Finn’s, he hands his daughter a bag for her pool day with Georgie. She’d rather go to work with him. He says they can do that another day.
Violet admits she doesn’t want to leave him alone.
He’d rather hang out with her but his patients need him. He assures her that he will be fine and she should have run with her friends.
Georgie picks her up.
Once Violet is gone, Finn resists drinking and goes off to work.
Terry corners Liz at General Hospital and tells her they need to catch up about Finn.
Liz explains that it’s been hard on the boys and her. They all love him. She wishes she could write him off but he’s a good man.
They know that he’s sick but they can’t force him to get help. It’s hard to watch him spiral.
Liz worries that her sons will be left with a void with Finn out of their lives.
Terry is sure she can help them through this. Liz worries how Violet will.
Finn arrives, telling Liz he’s coming back to work early and offers to let her test his blood-alcohol content.
He doesn’t want things to be awkward between them and she doesn’t owe him anything.
She still loves him and they are still family.
He tells her she’s Violet’s aunt and she’s with Maxie.
Liz walks off and Portia approaches. She tells the doctor that she and Terry want a word with him before he can start working again.
In the office, Portia and Terry inform Finn that they have cleared his calendar so they can discuss his responsibilities.
They want to keep this informal and explain this is about his drinking.
He doesn’t deny it but points out he’s never been impaired at work and offers to take a blood test.
They tell him that he has to submit to the physician health plan, be monitored, and tested regularly.
If he refuses, they will have to make this public and he could lose his license.
He accuses them of smearing him and reminds them that the hospital would have been closed without him.
Reminding them of all the dirt he has on the place, he says they are acting like bureaucrats. Portia says they are acting as his friends.
Furious, he tells them they are trying to take away what he cares about. He won’t have it and quits, storming out.
Finn finds Liz and accuses her of trying to destroy him without thinking of what it would do to his family or patients.
She ratted him out to get back at him.
Liz admits she turned him in but insists she did it for him because his drinking is jeopardizing everything.
She wants the old him back but he says he doesn’t know him and never did. He declares that she can no longer have anything to do with Violet.
“Stay away from me,” he say, walking out.
Liz sits and Portia joins her, saying she was right about Finn. She did the right thing reporting him.
Liz is sure he will realize what he threw away when he sobers up. She hopes he’ll pick himself up but worries about what this is costing Violet.

Trina stops by the Metro Court pool.
Maxie’s kids run in and bump into Gio, who reminds them about not running.
As Maxie puts sunscreen on James, Nina arrives and says he’s just like his dad.
Once the kid runs off, Maxie tells Nina that she’s dealt with all of Natalia’s demands.
Nina is fine with that and tells her she’s walking on air since she attended Willow’s birthday party.
Maxie warns that manipulating her way into Willow’s life could backfire as it has in the past.
Nina says it’s different this time because she has Drew on her side and Willow thinks he walks on water.
Maxie thinks that might change if Willow learns that Nina and Drew are secretly knocking boots.
Nina brags about how she will help Drew into congress and everyone will come out a winner.
Joss approaches Gio and asks how things went south with Trina. He assures her it was just a misunderstanding and it’s fine now.
She tells him that it has been a rough year for her friend. Her boyfriend died a few months ago.
He offers to treat comfortably, but admits Joss is kind of bossy.
Dex shows up in his uniform.
Trina joins them and informs Gio people are looking for towels. They walk off.
Joss admires Dex’s uniform. He asks her to help him plan the volleyball tournament.
She’s moving this weekend. But she offers to help if he helps her move.
He tells her he’s all about protecting and serving.
Gio and Trina talk about Joss and Dex. he likes teh way she cares about her friend.
At Maxie’s, Mac and Felicia make out on the couch while the kids are out with their parents. She reminds him that they could be back any time.
He tells her how much he missed her. Being around Frisco drove home how lucky he is.
He didn’t whitewash the mistakes he made with her and the girls. Frisco thanked him for being a father to his kids.
Mac made it clear to him how extraordinary the women he left behind are.
Felicia says he’s made so many sacrifices to step up for them. He never considered running away.
They are his family and he’s never wanted anything else.
Robert and Anna interrupt and welcome Mac back.
They get wine and Mac congratulates Anna on becoming the commissioner.
Mac learns that Jagger is back and looks forward to seeing him again. Anna warns that he’s not the sweet kid he remembers.
He offers to talk to Jagger for her. Anna gets a text from Jason and has to run off.
Maxie and the kids return. James wants Violet to stay over but she says her dad won’t let her.
Finn gets home, hyperventilating, He pulls out the vodka and starts drinking.
Anna goes to the warehouse and Jason fills her in on Drew running for congress. This could make him more high profile and that will make him useless to the FBI. He can’t wait around much longer.
Anna says she will take care of this and bust Valentin.
Sam stops by Spinelli’s work spot. He assures her that he has kept a low profile poking around the FBI’s records.
He’s found the prize they were looking for but now they have a new problem.
He explains that the files are accessible but they cannot be changed or deleted.
Since they are audio, she tells him to play them.
Sam is livid to discover that Jason turned Fed for Carly’s sake.
Jason claims that he had no choice but he clearly chose Carly and put her above his own family.
When Spinelli suggests it was a noble sacrifice, Sam tells him that sacrificing your kids for a grown woman who can’t responsibility for herself is not noble.
She asks for a copy of the recording. He makes a copy and begs her to hold off on doing anything hasty.
Sam says she is going to do the only thing a good mother can do.
Sam storms into the Metro Court and corners Carly, telling her there is something she needs to hear.
