Fri May 31, 2024: Jason refuses to sell the business to Sonny, Molly asks Carly about Kristina, and Portia stops Jagger from taking Brennan to Pentonville.
Thursday’s GH recap: Sonny told Dex they were done, Willow convinced Drew to run, and Maxie asked Spinelli to move back in.
Jason is surprised when Donny shows up at the office, wanting to clear the air.
He’s done with Dex, who is free to do whatever he wants.
He wants to make the same deal with Jason. “I don’t want to have anything more to do with you,” says Sonny.
Jason refuses to sell his half of the company. Sonny says he broke their trust and if he’s smart he’ll take this way out.
“I’m staying for you,” says Jason.
The coffee company is the only thing preventing RICO charges.
Sonny accuses him of being a spy and wants him out of his life.
Jason says he is his friend and he is in real trouble.
He attacked a police cadet in public. He’s not thinking clearly.
Sonny refuses to be friendly and warns that if he doesn’t get out of his way, he’s “gone.”
Chase drops by General Hospital to see Liz. She pays her condolences and tells him how much she cared about his dad.
He needs a death certificate to deal with a bunch of paperwork.
She says the record department should have it.
He has so much to do. It feels like everything is slower.
She urges him to accept that it’s a lot and not be afraid to ask for help.
The detective brings up his brother’s drinking. He’s sorry for pulling her into that and he says his brother knows he was out of line with her.
He’s going to his meetings and will be okay.
She understands what happened but didn’t understand how angry Finn was with her.
Chase says his brother feels terrible about it.
He thinks he merits some understanding. She’s sympathetic.
He’s hoping there will be some closure after the memorial and invites her.
When she gets him the death certificates, he marvels at how formal and real it is.
She says his father loved him and will always be with him.
Curtis shows Portia the article claiming that Laura is looking into re-opening Heather’s case.
They are both shocked. He says the Laura he knows would never do this.
His wife is upset and doesn’t know what they can do.
How can they fight the justice system?
Curtis gets an idea and takes off.
Jagger stops by Brennan’s room and announces it’s time to take him back to Pentonville.
John knows that Jack is dangerous by definition and they bicker about their respective agencies.
Portia shows up and announces the patient isn’t going anywhere.
The surgeon has not cleared him to be released.
When Jagger objects, Portia cuts him down and refuses to let the patient be moved before storming out.
Shutting the door, John wants to question him now. Jack won’t say anything without his lawyers.
Jagger asks why they keep requesting postponements.
He assumes he’s waiting for something to happen.
Brennan says his lawyers aren’t stalling and the Fed accuses him of trying to rub out Anna and Dante.
Jack says there’s no evidence and mocks his interrogation techniques.
Jagger is suspicious about his old colleague Anna being the one sent to take him down.
He suggests that Anna could be the head of Pikeman now and they were passing off leadership.

In the mayor’s office, Laura is furious that the press are acting like she’s going to re-open Heather’s case.
They need to find out who leaked this to the press.
Laura knows she warned her this would happen.
Jordan urges her to get ahead of it now.
Laura isn’t going to make a statement that paints her into a corner.
Curtis shows up. Laura is happy to see him up and about. Jordan takes off.
He asks her about the article in The Invader that suggests she’s looking into Heather’s case.
She says the headline was a lie and she’s only exploring what the legal ramifications of the case are.
She can’t predict how this will work out, but she thinks Heather deserves to have her case re-opened.
She’s sure this is upsetting for him but no action has been taken yet. If she plans to go forward, she will tell him.
He wants justice for Trina. Would she be okay with this if it was her daughter?
He reminds her of all the people who died.
Laura has a hard time locking away Heather when she couldn’t tell right from wrong.
She thinks that needs to be on the record.
This all stinks of what happened with Esme, he says. She insists this is the fair thing to do.
He tells her life is not fair and she’s wrong.
He and Portia will fight her with all they have.
Molly corners Carly at the Metro Court and asks her what happened with Kristina at the wedding reception.
Carly wasn’t there. Molly says this is not official and is sure she knows something as family.
Carly repeats she wasn’t there. Molly reminds her Jason was and he tells her everything.
She can’t ask her sister because she’s too fragile.
After getting her assurance that this is between them, Carly explains she didn’t see Kristina but Sonny tried to explain to her.
She was afraid of him and it finally dawned on her what it actually means to be a mobster.
Carly says that Kristina was going to have to see her father more realistically at some point.
Molly still doesn’t know what to feel and plans to just sit on this to avoid making things worse.
Carly says she sounds like a mom. She’ll constantly be praying her kids are happy while knowing that it’s all out of her control.
She’s sure that it will all be fine. Molly takes off.
When Sonny storms in, Carly chases after him and asks if he’s talked with Kristina.
He declares that today he is dealing with Jason.
He gave him the chance to walk away, but he refused, so what happens next is on him.
Back at the warehouse, one of Sonny’s men sneaks up on Jason.
Hearing this, Jason ducks and pulls out his gun as they open fire.
Molly stops by GH. They took each other’s phones by accident.
He asks about her sister. She says she’s fine but her mom is a different story.
Portia interrupts and TJ walks off to do his rounds. Portia asks Molly about the article in the paper.
She’s very concerned and asks how the DA’s office would fight what Laura has planned.
After looking at the article, Molly says it’s all speculation and nothing has happened yet.
The defense will likely argue Heather was not responsible and isn’t dangerous. Portia is livid and insists the victims deserve justice.
Molly is sure they can stop it but Portia is determined to fight any release.
